Julia Signe Fuhler (published/signed as Julia Signe) is a Norwegian American fine artist and photographer from Chicago, IL, whose work is held in private collections including that of Beth Rudin DeWoody.
Her artwork builds a folk mythology around unashamed human existence — childlike form (flattened anatomy, blank faces, humor) carrying adult psychological weight. Drawing from years spent in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Central America, her work explores home, displacement, and the journey toward holistic liberation.
She received her BFA in painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2022, where she first developed her 'Bird People' series.
Julia currently lives and works in Seattle, WA.
